Black Sea Biosphere Reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

The Black Sea Biosphere Reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is located on the north coast of the Black Sea and the small islands in the Tendrivsky and Yagrolitsky bays. This is another property of the Kherson region.

The Black Sea Reserve was established in 1927 to study and protect the natural environment, including mass breeding and bird migration. In the city of Hola Prystan there is a museum of the nature of the Black Sea Reserve, which runs from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Its artistically executed dioramas and natural exhibits reflect the richness of the nature of the reserve and, above all, its wildlife. The Museum of the Black Sea Reserve maintains a collection of bird sculptures, one of the best in the region, according to species diversity and design.

Nowhere in Europe is there such a unique place, like the smooth lower reaches of the Dnieper. There is no place to find such a cluster of islands, not similar to each other shores, such enchanting river streams and floodplains with a unique flora and fauna, interaction with which leaves in memory only pleasant impressions. The mouth of the Dnieper has created many different islands. One of these islands is the Bilohrydiv Island.

On it, nature is almost in its original state. The mass of healing herbs, the diversity of the animal world, clean water and air - all this attracts thousands of tourists from all over Ukraine and abroad.

Tourists are welcome guests of the island, especially the estate, whose mistress is Mrs. Valentina. Guests can have a great rest on untouched land, get acquainted with the colorful life and customs of locals, fish and fish, and try different kinds of fish dishes according to grandfather's recipes. Everyone wishing the hostess will offer souvenirs in memory: wood products, embroidery, and others.

Sanatorium "Gopry"

It is located in the central part of the city of Hola Prystan on the shore of the Salt Lake.

У 1889 році Херсонське повітове земство на березі Соляного озера відкрило грязелікарню, на базі якої згодом створено санаторій «Гопри». Соляне озеро відоме своїми цілющими властивостями ропи та грязей. Це великий солончаковий комплекс, який близько межує з плавнями. Довжина озера до 1 км, ширина − 750 м.

Повітова управа орендувала поблизу озера приватний будинок, а першим медперсоналом майбутнього санаторію стали лікар і фельдшер. 26 травня 1889 року вони оглянули перших дев’ять хворих і саме озеро.

Наявність в лікувальному мулі розчинних солей, сірководню, каротину, гормонів, пеніціліна- і інших речовин, а в ропі – значної кількості вуглекислого натрію, заліза, карбонатів, сірки, а також підвищений в порівнянні з морською водою вміст калію, брому, йоду дають величезний лікарський ефект при запальних і післятравматичних захворюваннях суглобів і хребта, нервової системи, гінекологічних, урологічних, шкірних захворюваннях, хворобах дихальних шляхів, носоглотки.

Указом Президента України «Про території та об’єкти природно-заповідного фонду загальнодержавного значення» від 27 липня 2016 р. №312/2016, територію площею 120 га, оголошено гідрологічним заказником «Озеро Соляне».

Про цілющі властивості озера складені легенди. «Колись біля озера жив чоловік, у якого були коні, верблюди. Якось старий верблюд заслаб на ноги, тому господар вигнав його з дому. Верблюд зайшов у озеро й пролежав декілька днів. Коли чоловік вирішив поглянути на нього й наблизився, тварина підхопилася на ноги й побігла. Коли нарешті господар наздогнав верблюда, виявилося, що сталося диво – всі рани загоїлися, до верблюда повернулися сили».ляхів, носоглотки.

Many times the guests of the sanatorium "Gopry" were privately artists, state officials, well-known scholars, such as the official visit to the sanatorium by Lyudmila Kuchma.
